Terms of Service

1. The service

Compromise lets a group create a room, answer questions independently, and receive a recommended option or meeting time based on those answers, along with an explanation of why it was chosen. A room can be a one-off or repeat on a schedule you set. These terms govern your use of the service; by using it you accept them.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old, or the age at which you may enter a contract or consent to data processing in your country, to use Compromise on your own. Younger users need a parent's or guardian's permission.

3. Rooms, links and accounts

You can use Compromise without an account. Access to a room is then granted through a room link and a token stored in your browser, and you are responsible for keeping a host link private if you don't want others to have host controls over your room.

You may also sign in with Google, Yandex ID or VK ID. A room you create while signed in belongs to that account rather than to whoever holds the browser token, so signing out of a shared device leaves nobody in control of it. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.

A host may make a room private, so that only people on its guest list — or people the host lets in after they ask — can open it. A host may also invite another signed-in person by email to close a room on their behalf; that person can close the room and nothing else.

4. Free and Pro

The free plan is free for as long as it is offered, within the limits shown on the Pricing page. Pro adds the features listed there, such as rooms without a participant limit, recurring rooms, rooms from saved templates, and email and VK notifications.

Pro is paid in advance for the period you choose, in roubles through YooKassa or in US dollars through lava.top (or in roubles through lava.top where YooKassa is not available), at the price shown before you pay. It renews automatically at the end of each period for the same period and price until you cancel. If a renewal cannot be charged, we may retry for a few days; if it still fails, Pro ends when the paid period does.

You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing. Cancelling stops future charges; Pro stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. When Pro ends, recurring rooms pause, Pro notifications stop, and your saved templates stay readable.

For a refund request, write to arthur.vafin.post@gmail.com. Requests are handled under applicable law, including the consumer protection law of your country.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Compromise to collect answers through deception or coercion, to submit unlawful, harassing, or abusive content, or to attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service.

Guest lists, invitations and notification emails exist so a group can run its own decision. Do not use them to send unsolicited mail to people who did not ask to take part.

If you type another person's email address into a guest list or invitation, you confirm that you may share it for that purpose.

6. Content you submit

You retain ownership of the options, answers and photos you submit. By using the service, you grant us the limited right to store and process that content solely to operate the features described in these terms — which includes quoting a room's title and its decision back to you, and to the people you invited, in the messages those features send.

7. Our service

Compromise, its scoring rules, text, design and code belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you the right to use the service, not to copy it, resell it or build a competing service from it. We may improve, change or remove features over time and we do not promise that the service will always be available or free of errors.

8. Film, game and place details

Details offered when you search for a film, a game, a destination or a place to eat come from third-party public datasets and services and are used under their terms; details of places to eat are © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License. They are a convenience, may be incomplete or out of date, and costs, travel times and opening hours are estimates or may have changed. The decision remains the group's.

9. Service "as is"

Compromise is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement.

A recommendation is a calculation from the answers a group gave, not advice. You and your group decide, and you are responsible for what you do with the result.

10. Termination

We may suspend or remove a room or an account that violates these terms. You may stop using the service at any time, and you may ask us to delete your account and the rooms you own.

Sections that by their nature should continue after these terms end — including those on content, liability and disputes — continue to apply.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will change when we do. A change to the price of an active subscription applies only from its next renewal, and only after we have told you about it. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. General

If a part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a right at once does not waive it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to someone else without our consent; we may transfer ours together with the service.
